Axamer Lizum

green ticket

With the Green Ticket you actively help shape a sustainable future for Tyrol: simple, transparent and effective. With a voluntary surcharge of just 1 € per ticket, you directly support regional environmental and nature conservation projects. For every Green Ticket, the Axamer Lizum adds a contribution of its own, so together we create an even bigger impact. If you would like to do more, you can also drop the deposit of your ski card into the donation boxes on site. These funds also go 100 % to sustainable projects in Tyrol. The aim of the Green Ticket is to make sustainable action easy and accessible, to visibly support regional measures, to raise awareness and to strengthen Tyrol's natural and living spaces for the long term. With this commitment we want to make a clear statement: together we shape a sustainable future!

projects

To launch the initiative, the Axamer Lizum is supporting three sustainability projects that will be implemented in 2026. All projects are created together with regional partner companies and experts and are fully documented. Blockchain records make every measure transparent and traceable.

Copper beech Innsbruck

For decades, the copper beech in front of the Haus der Musik in Innsbruck was a defining part of the cityscape and a beloved place to linger. Due to its age and poor health, the more than 120-year-old tree had to be felled. As part of the Green Ticket, a new copper beech will now be planted in the city of Innsbruck. The goal of this project is to contribute to sustainable urban greening and to strengthen the ecological quality of public spaces for the long term. The new tree is a visible sign of a responsible relationship with nature in urban areas. Trees like the copper beech make an important contribution to cooling, better air quality and quality of life in the city.

CHRISTMAS TREES SECOND LIFE

As part of the Christmas tree campaign by the organic nursery Seidemann, living potted Christmas trees are provided for use in private households. Instead of being thrown away after the holidays, the trees are planted out on suitable land in Tyrol, where they can keep growing and benefit the environment and nature for the long term. The costs of planting out the trees are covered by the Axamer Lizum.

Axamer Lizum bees

The bee project in the Axamer Lizum makes a targeted contribution to supporting pollinators and strengthening regional biodiversity. Bees play a central role in healthy ecosystems, as they are essential for the pollination of plants and thus for the diversity of flora and fauna. Together with the regional beekeeper Lukas Schmider, suitable locations are selected on site where bee colonies can live and be cared for over the long term. In addition, flowering areas are created and wild bee hotels are built to offer native wild bee species suitable habitats and nesting places. This creates diverse, well-adapted habitats for pollinators in the Alpine region.

COMMUNITY

PROJECTS

As part of the Green Ticket, together with the Axamer Lizum we invite you to submit ideas for sustainable projects. Whether planting, biodiversity, environmental education or social initiatives: we are looking for proposals that benefit the region for the long term. For nature, climate and community.

We carefully review every submission and will implement selected ideas together with our partners. The most exciting projects will be presented publicly, and the community will vote on which ones are realised.

You want to do more than submit an idea? Then become part of itreebute: as a supporting member you help make sustainable projects in Tyrol possible for the long term!
